I grew up in Clear Lake, South Dakota. The 60’s and 70’s exposed me to some legendary country music. I continued my appreciation for country music thru the 80’s, 90’s and up to present day. And I've spent a great deal of time studying it. When I sit down to do the KXRB Morning Show each day, I have a library of music that is like nothing else in the world. I grew up on a small farm near Leota, Minnesota in the Southwest part of Minnesota. I began my radio career at KWYR in Winner, then on to KKAA in Aberdeen, KV91 in Volga/Brookings, a variety of stations in Rapid City and for the last more than a few years in Sioux Falls. I’m Joe Morrison and I'm referred to by my colleagues as KXRB’s resident Professor of Country Music. I hail from the Minneapolis area, am married with two adult children, 4 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. My wife and I loved camping and fishing for many years. These days, traveling and staying at finer hotels is more our style.
