Sioux Falls Businesses Offering Free Stuff to Veterans on Veterans Day

Veterans Day is Friday, November 11, 2016. To celebrate the service of all U.S. military veterans, several retailers and restaurants are offering discounts on Veterans Day.  Some of the offers are even good all week.

Most businesses require proof of military service and not all franchise locations participate in their national chain’s Veterans Day programs, so be sure to contact the business before you go.

If you know a veteran, make sure you share this list on Facebook so they can take advantage of the deals, and make sure you thank them for their service.


 

Starting Veterans Day, November 11, 2016, All Day Cafe at 2101 West 41st Street will offer a 10% discount to all veterans and active military members. The discount will be on-going.

 

 

Applebees is offering a free meal on Veterans Day from a select menu to all veterans and active duty military. Try the American Standard All-In Burger, Fiesta Lime Chicken, Double Crunch Shrimp or choose one of the other featured selections from the Veterans Day menu.

 

 

Last year on Veterans Day, Buffalo Wild Wings offered veterans and active-duty military personnel one (1) small order of traditional or boneless wings and a side of fries for free. I was unable to verify their participation this year, please call ahead.

 

 

Veterans receive a free small brewed coffee on Veterans Day.

 

 

On November 11, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, all active and retired military personnel can select one complimentary item from a special Veterans Day menu. You’ll be able to choose from tacos, fajitas, burritos and more.

 

 

Chili’s is offering veterans and active duty military members a free meal from a special menu of five choices. Items include soup and salad, chicken crispers and more.

 

 

Chuck E. Cheese’s is offering active and retired military members a FREE individual 1-topping pizza with offer code 5258.

 

 

Cracker Barrel will offer veterans a complimentary piece of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake on November 11, 2016. The restaurant is also donating 10 percent of its rocking chair proceeds to Operation Homefront, a charity that helps military families.

 

 

Denny’s will be offering a free “Build Your Own Grand Slam” on November 11, 2016 from 5:00 AM – 12:00 PM to veterans and active duty military members. The meal includes four breakfast items such as buttermilk pancakes, eggs, bacon, seasonal fruit or hash browns.

 

 

On November 11, 2016, Famous Dave’s will offer a free two meat combo to veterans and active military duty members.

 

 

Military members and veterans will receive a free World Tour buffet and one non-alcoholic beverage on November 11, 2016.  The Hard Rock will feature a special Veterans Day buffet from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM – 9:00 PM.

 

 

 

Hy-Vee honors veterans each year on Veterans Day by offering a free breakfast buffet to all veterans and active-duty military members. Some stores offer planned programs, displays, entertainment or other activities to complement the breakfast event.

 

 

 

On Friday, November 11, 2016 veterans and active duty military can enjoy three of IHOP restaurant’s hot-off-the-griddle, world famous Buttermilk Pancakes with glazed strawberries, blueberry compote and whipped topping for free at participating locations between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Select IHOP restaurants will also offer a combo of two eggs, hash browns and choice of two bacon strips or pork sausage links as part of the Red, White & Blue Pancake promotion for retired and active duty military personnel. Guests should check with their local IHOP restaurant for additional details.

 

 

Last year, Little Caesar’s offered a $5 HOT-N-READY Lunch Combo to all US Armed Forces veterans and active military members between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. I have not been able to verify their participation this year. Please call ahead.

 

 

Oh My Cupcakes in the Bridges Shopping Center at 57th and Western is offering a free cupcake to all veterans on Veterans Day.

 

 

Veterans and active military members can get a completely free meal paid in full by the restaurant which includes an entree from a special Veterans Day menu, and unlimited soup or salad and garlic breadsticks. Offer good on November 11, 2016 only.

 

 

Outback Steakhouse is offering a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage for military personnel. All military members and their families also get 15% off their entire check.

 

 

 

Veterans get a free Magnificent Seven meal which includes two eggs, three buttermilk pancakes, and a choice of two bacon strips or two sausage links. Beverage not included. Call ahead to verify participation.

 

 

Starting Veterans Day, November 11, 2016, Phillips Avenue Diner at 121 S. Phillips Avenue will offer a 10% discount to all veterans and active military members. The discount will be on-going.

 

 

Active duty military and veterans will receive a free Pizza Ranch buffet during regular buffet hours on Friday, November 11, 2016. Valid at participating locations.

 

 

Red Lobster is offering a free appetizer or dessert on Thursday, November 10 and Friday, November 11, 2016 with military I.D. or proof of service.

 

 

On Veterans Day, Red Robin is honoring those who serve and have served with a FREE Tavern Double Burger with Bottomless Steak Fries.

 

 

Ruby Tuesday is giving a free appetizer to veterans, active duty and reserve service members with valid military ID at participating locations on Veterans Day.

 

 

Starting Veterans Day, November 11, 2016, RedRossa Italian Grille at 3412 S. Western Avenue will offer a 10% discount to all veterans and active military members. The discount will be on-going.

 

 

In honor of Veteran’s Day, Sickies Garage at 2616 S. Louise Avenue in Sioux Falls is offering a free Garage burger and fries, or 20% off your meal with military or veteran’s ID.

 

 

Starbucks is offering a free tall brewed coffee for active duty, veterans, and their spouses. Participating stores only.

Texas Roadhouse is offering free lunch from a special Veterans Day menu. Veterans can select a 6oz sirloin steak, grilled pork chop, pulled pork dinner, country fried chicken, country fried sirloin, all-American cheeseburger, BBQ chicken sandwich, pulled pork sandwich or grilled chicken salad. The sandwiches come with steak fries and the dinners come with two sides. Meal includes a choice of iced tea, sweet tea, soft drink or coffee.
