Super Bowl Staff Working Hard to Chase Away the Flu Bug

With 49 states now reporting widespread flu activity, those working the Super Bowl in Minneapolis are pulling out all the stops when it comes to fighting off the flu bug.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it’s been more than a decade since this many states have reported widespread flu activity. And with large crowds expected for the Super Bowl, staff have been instructed to wipe down all exhibits multiple times a day with sanitizing wipes.

Signs have also been posted reminding people to wash their hands as often as possible and avoid touching their eyes, nose and month.

At the Super Bowl Experience in the Convention Center, volunteers have been instructed to disinfect all the virtual realty equipment between each use.

Federal health officials are also renewing their call for everyone who hasn’t yet gotten a flu shot to go and get vaccinated – despite what’s being published on-line.

There’s an internet story going around that quotes a fake health official as saying the vaccine is more dangerous than the flu. According to the CDC – FAKE NEWS!
